A suit sample is not approved only because it looks good in one photo. For a B2B order, the sample becomes the standard that guides bulk production, quality control, packing, and later reorders.

1. Confirm the purpose of the sample

Some samples test fit. Some test fabric and construction. Others confirm labels, trims, packaging, or a private-label presentation. Buyers should state what the sample needs to prove before judging whether it is approved.

2. Review fit and measurements together

Fit comments should be supported by measurements. Record chest, waist, shoulder, sleeve, jacket length, trouser waist, rise, inseam, and other points that matter to the product. If a change is requested, note whether it affects one size or the full size range.

3. Approve material, trims, and appearance

Fabric color, handfeel, lining, buttons, zipper, labels, hangtags, and pressing should be reviewed before bulk production. Digital photos help communication, but physical references are still important when color or texture must be controlled.

4. Keep a revision record

Every revision should be documented with date, change, reason, and approver. Do not let old comments mix with the final approved version. A clean approval record helps the factory and buyer avoid repeating the same debate during production.

5. Sign off before bulk planning

Bulk production should begin only after the buyer confirms the approved sample, measurement chart, material direction, branding, packing, and order matrix. If any item remains open, mark it clearly instead of assuming it will be solved later.

Buyers can use this process before starting a private-label suit program or wholesale suit program with MrSure, especially when the order includes custom fit, branding, or packaging decisions.

When a sample is being reviewed against several product decisions, the suit tech pack for manufacturers checklist can keep the product reference, open choices, and change history connected to the approval record.

For a new supplier relationship, record the sample's purpose, approver, evidence, corrections, and bulk-release decision in the suit supplier onboarding checklist. This prevents an approved-looking garment from becoming an uncontrolled production instruction.

Reconfirm the approved sample before bulk release

An approved sample still needs to be reconciled with the effective tech pack, measurement chart, material references, final order matrix, labels, packing, and inspection direction. Use the suit pre-production meeting checklist to record that comparison, close open points, and identify the person authorised to release the correct order version into production.
